The Jin-Navitas Solaris Inc. (SOLARIS) grid-connected rooftop solar system in a Cavite housing community has completed its first turnover of annual community benefits, tying social support directly to renewable energy operations.
The turnover took place at Pasinaya Homes Prime Central in Naic, Cavite, where rooftop solar installations operate under a long-term agreement that allows residential roofs to be used for power generation feeding into the grid.
It combines distributed solar generation with a structured Community Assurance Support program delivered annually to host communities.
The Community Assurance Support (CAS) program delivers annual benefits to homeowners for as long as the solar facilities remain operational. The benefits are tied to project operations rather than provided as one-time assistance.
The project covers the improvements to safety infrastructure, support for learning and childcare spaces, health-related facilities, and upgrades to communal areas within the housing development.
Jose Alfonso Miras, President and CEO of Jin~Navitas Solaris Inc., said the model works because homeowners are treated as active partners in the project.
“Without a grid-connected solar facility built on rooftops like this, especially in socialized housing, this scale of clean energy and community benefit simply wouldn’t happen the same way,” Miras said.
For Jacinto Ng, Jr., Group Executive Officer of Joy~Nostalg Group, the turnover reflects a broader commitment to community outcomes linked to energy development.
“This is our way of appreciation and of showing that we are serious,” Ng said.
“This fulfills promises beyond contractual obligation. Our goal is not just returns, but bettering lives—here in the community, across the country, and ultimately for the world,” he added.
The solar project is integrated into a socialized housing model intended to keep homes affordable over time.
Adrian Cantor, Chief Operating Officer of Extraordinary Enclaves, said the arrangement helps preserve affordability for residents.
“On behalf of the homeowners, we sincerely thank SOLARIS for subsidizing the profitability of Pasinaya Homes. This ensures that the Zero Equity affordability of owning a home remains sustainable, allowing more families to achieve their dream of homeownership,” Cantor said.
Terence Christopher Ang, Chief Executive Officer of Joy~Nostalg Foundation, said the assurance program benefits the entire homeowner community.
“The Joy~Nostalg Foundation is deeply grateful to SOLARIS on behalf of the Homeowners Community of Pasinaya Homes. Through its Community Assurance Support, SOLARIS’ Community Improvement Program benefits all homeowners by enhancing the value of their homes and strengthening the community,” Ang said.
Representatives from the Department of Energy, the Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development, and Pag-IBIG Fund attended the turnover, along with local leaders and project partners.
